THE FISHERMAN OF PURNANKUPPAM

An easy way to reach the beach is to take a small ferry boat close to NH45A from Pondicherry and if your are lucky you will see a sea eagle (Brahminy Kite) and if you are even more lucky , you will be able to take a picture of it. (well I wasn't so lucky)
Most Indians dislike walking and just go to the seashore and look at the few man, who like swimming. If women go to the water they will keep sari, but it is very rarely that a woman even touches water with the feet. Most young man are there to go together to huts and drink beer all afternoon. After these huts the beach is empty ....beside of coarse the fisherman doing their job

The yougster there are very friendly and quite fluent in English and they love to be take on a picture , even if they will never see their conterfate later.

The prey of the see are very small anchovis lile fish.

The fish are dried and colleted by women and put in big jute sacks, no idea where they may end, maybe in the estomac of a spoiled European cat, after the bones were removed of course.

HINDHU TOLERANCE AND THE CHRISTIAN MASSACRES- AN EXPLANATION

I dislike to make copy-paste but this article of Kushwant Singh in Hindustan Times explains logically the reflections of upper- class Hindhu and the resentment and background of the culprits responsible for the massacres, still giving the impression that Hinduismus is the right faith giving no reason to convert.

Recent incidents of violence and vandalism against Christians and their churches deserve to be condemned unreservedly. They have blackened the fair face of Mother India and ruined the reputation of Hindus being the most religiously tolerant people in the world. At the same time, we must take a closer look at people who convert from one faith to another.

To start with, let it be understood that these days there are no forced conversions anywhere in the world. India is no exception. Those who assert that the poor, innocent and ignorant of India are being forced to accept Christianity are blatant liars. A few, very few educated and well-to-do men and women convert to another faith when they do not find solace in the faith of their ancestors. Examples are to be found in America and Europe of men and women of substance turning from Judaism and Christianity to Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam and Sikhism.

There are also men and women who convert to the faith of those they wish to marry. We have plenty of cases of Hindu, Muslim, Christian and Sikh inter-marriages. However, the largest number of converts come from communities discriminated against. The outstanding example was that of Dalit leader Bhimrao Ambedkar who led his Mahar community to embrace Buddhism because they were discriminated against by upper caste Hindus. This is also true of over 90 per cent of Indian Muslims whose ancestors being lower caste embraced Islam which gave them equal status. That gives lie to the often-repeated slander that Islam made converts by the sword.

An equally large number of people converted out of gratitude. They were neglected, ignorant and poor. When strangers came to look after them, opened schools and hospitals for them, taught them, healed them and helped them to stand on their own feet to hold their heads high, they felt grateful towards their benefactors. Most of them were Christian missionaries who worked in remote villages and brought hope to the lives of people who were deprived of hope.

To this day, Christian missionaries run the best schools, colleges and hospitals in our country. They are inexpensive and free of corruption. They get converts because of the sense of gratitude they generate. Can this be called forcible conversion? Why don’t the great champions of Hinduism look within their hearts and find out why so many are disenchanted by their pretensions of piety? Let them first set their own houses in order, purge the caste system out of Hindu society and welcome with open arms all those who wish to join them.

No one will then convert from Hinduism to another religion.

I apologize to Hindustan times and Kushant Singh for violating their coyrights without permission

NEGATIVE MEMORY AND THE JOY OF LIVE- THE “IF ONLY”- EFFECT

Man is a victim of unhappiness while he has not detected freedom of thinking, he has created bondages in his mind. When he is alone he feels lonely and at the same time in a crowd he feels suffocated.
Human are longing for power, name , fame, pleasure but not freedom of mind. Their mind rides on the horse of expectation, they constantly hypnotize themselves and say “if only” this happens I will be happy . “If only” is the disease which prevent him from being happy.
The real solution lies in finding how one can the mind be free.
· Ask yourself the basic question – are you free or bound in you mind.
· Write down your definition of freedom and bondage.
· Reflect on an expierences as just that but do not carry regret and resentment from it.
· If there is pain in observing expierences write down the causes of the pain.
· Learn to be free to see that in an expiernce there is a situation ant there is an interpretation of a situation.
· See objectively that the interpretation of an expierence exist outside the situation.
· Be free to see the source of interpretation. Check if it is the product of your parental values or your environment.
· How does this interpreatation exist in you ? As a memory in the body or as emotional and intellectual poles and how does it find is way out.
· Strong memory is formed when all these centres, physical emotional and intellectual come together.
· Clarity is power. Manage them independently and weak them by powerfull positive thought and visualization.
· Slowy free yourself from negative memory and your mind which says “if only” and just affirm you are a complete and free soul.

THE INNER QUALITY

Chi Hsing Tsu was training a fighting cock for the King.
After ten days he was asked if the bird was ready and he said:
"Not yet. He's still vain and quarrelsome, and relies on his own spirit"
After ten more days he said:"
"He isn't ready yet, he still alarmed by the appearance of another bird"
After 10 more days he replied:
"No. Not Yet, he still looks fiercely and his full of spirit"
Wenn the fortieth day had passed, he replied to the same question:
"Nearly ready. Tough another another cock crows,
he doesn't react in the slightest.
To look at him you would say he is a cock made of wood.
His inner quality is now complete.
He has no need to fight,
because no other cock will dare to confront him.
