THE END OF THE INDIAN LIONS BY STUBBORN POLITICIAN

Amidst growing concern over depleting tiger population in India, Gujarat stoutly opposed in the Supreme Court, the Centre's proposal to shift some of the Gir Asiatic lions sanctuary to Kuno tiger reserve in Madhya Pradesh.

The Narendra Modi government warned that partial relocating the lions from the Gir sanctuary in Gujarat was fraught with "irreparable damage to the sociology of lions" and asserted that Madhya Pradesh cannot manage the relocation as it had failed to protect its own tiger sanctuary.

"Already, their (Madhya Pradesh's) tigers are dying. It would be highly improper to shift the lions to Kuno reserve," senior counsel Mukul Rohtagi appearing for Gujarat told a bench of Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan, Justices B S Chauhan and Chandramouli Prasad.

The Modi government further argued that the people of the state take pride in the lions sanctuary and any attempt to translocate the animals to the Kuna reserve "against the will of people of Gujarat will cause irreparable damage to their conservation and cultural ethos."

The Union Ministry for Environment and the Wildlife Board had come out with the partial relocation

Fact is that if all Indian lions are located in one lion santuary than inbreeding or a disease will kill them. The reason Gujarat don't want the partial split is just for profit reasons wanting to have all the tourist for themself.

Under these circumstances the it is only a question of time until the Indian lion is gone

HEPATITIS B OUTBREAK IN GUJARAT- TWO DOCTORS REUSED CONTAMINATED SYRINGES

Two docs held for hepatitis outbreak. 38 People killed up to now

Modasa: A father and son, both doctors who ran a private clinic which recklessly used the same syringe to give injections to multiple patients, have been arrested for causing the tragic outbreak of Hepatitis-B in the north Gujarat town of Modasa. So far 38 people have died since the outbreak two weeks ago.
For the first time after the deaths were reported from the town, police brought criminal charges against the two doctors — Dr Govind Patel and his son Dr Chintan Patel — on Saturday. They face the serious charge of ‘culpable homicide not amounting to murder’. Earlier, seven doctors from the town had been accused of violating the Medical Practitioners Act.
Investigations by the state health department had revealed that a large number of people who were struck by the virus and eventually died, were treated by the two doctors. ‘‘Health officials have mentioned in their complaint that the two doctors were using the same syringe for multiple patients and their clinic did not have a proper biological waste disposal,’’ said K K Mysorewala, Dy SP of Sabarkantha district.
Police said the clinic of the two doctors was opposite the primary health centre in Modasa. The arrests came after Arjunsinh Bhati, the Modasa circle health officer, filed a complaint against the two doctors.
According to the district health office, 12 more people have been infected by the virus in new cases reported at various hospitals.

Woman delivers, dies of hepatitis-B

He is just three days old and is being called a ‘miracle’ amid death and despair in Modasa. His mother, Kokila Raval (28), died of hepatitis-B hours after giving birth to him. In all her agony, it was almost as if the boy was destined to live. After three days in the incubator, the prematurely-born boy is being breast-fed by his aunt Sudha Raval, who gave birth to a daughter just six months back. ‘‘There are chances of the baby being infected by the virus. We will have to keep a close watch because hepatitis-B virus takes a period of 90-180 days to manifest,’’ said Dr Mahendra Patel who treated the baby. Kokila, who used to work with the health department in Modasa, probably caught the infection while serving at the hospital.

IT IS GETTING SCARING, VERY SCARING

In the following an article from Yahoo News showing the ease of the assembly of an highly destructive bomb and if with this bomb soft targets as market places or hospital inlets are envisaged than the police canot give any protection.

"The bombs that went off at 17 busy areas of the city on Black Saturday bore a clear imprint of classic concoction of ammonium nitrate, ball bearings and some chemical powder packed in corrugated cartons for maximum impact in both death and destruction.

The bomb package had been left innocuously in cycle carriers and CNG city buses and the deadly cocktail was wrapped in three layers of plastic bags padded with cloth rags. A 6-volt Chinese-made battery was attached with the contraption to trigger the bomb through a timer device.

This macabre piece of local engineering was there for all to see at Galaxy cinema area at Naroda and civil hospital where ball-bearings and shrapnels were recovered aplenty. Incidentally, the civil hospital blast claimed maximum 16 lives and was meant to instill psychological fear in the people that if a well known hospital could be targeted then no one was safe, police and authorities said.

At Sarangpur market and Raipur Chakla the bombs had the same hallmark seen in other areas - all coming neatly packed in three plastic bags tied to cycle carriers with a rope. The bombs were planted near pan shops and vegetable vendors where common people usually congregate.

Police sources said fifth columnists locally were at work to help the mastermind in this evil venture as these bombs were assembled here and planted by different people."

GUJARAT's "FREEDOM OF RELIGION ACT"

For the one who don't know: Gujarat is a state in India. Religious laws in India are made by the individual states. New rules have been published in the Gujarat Governement Gazette and are effiective since April 1 2008. From now on anyone wishing to convert to another religion, will have to tell the state governement, what is the reason and for how long they had been following the religion they are renouncing. Failing this will be declared offenders and and prosecuted under criminal laws. The law makes it obligatory for a priest seeking to convert someone to take district magistrate's permission to avoid prosecution and police action. The priest will have to sign a detailed form providing personal information on the person wishing to convert. Wether he/she is minor, scheduled/tribal,martial status, occupation and last but not least monthly income !!! Forced conversion will bring the priest 3 years behind bars. The rule stipulates that only after the governemental admiminstation has been given in one month from the time of application the priest will be allowed to make the conversion ceremony. Failure to apply would lead to 'prosecution for an offence" authorizing a police officer to start inquiring and a sub-divisional magistrate to prosecute the offender. The rules are silent on what happenes if the administration does not reply in one month and also if the believer just want to quit religion to become agnostic or non- religious. For those still thinking Hinduismus is a peacefull religion please look at this 2 min video , that might change your mind.

I realy dont understand why this news is not published in Western newspapers, we still honour India as the world- largest democracy, but freedom of religion is one of the basic elements of a democracy and in this " Freedom of Religion Act" everything is done to jeopardize one of the basic right of a democratic country. Please stop calling it like that.
