DELHI & GURGAON WITHOUT POWER

For an Indian it is normal that each day there is one or more power cuts, they can take less than a minute are take half a day. Indian just get fuming if the power- cuts comes unexpected and with a high frequency. The minimum of the expectations is that the government at least announces the power- cuts.
For me it is not understandable why Indians accept this situation. Everybody being proud that money is spoiled on a totally unnecessary mission to the moon and to buy the used air fighters of the Russian and France air force to fight a non- existing enemy (Pakistan) instead of building power plants.

A country gifted by nature with a tremendous solar energy, is since ever fighting against this free power instead of collecting and use it. Just because in the WEST (where there is a lack of sun energy) they fight the heat with air - conditioners.

With the mercury rising to 44 C angry Delhiites said they felt they were back a decade ago, facing six hours of power cuts daily. The peak demand on Friday touched 3,800 MW and according to the state government, there was a shortage of almost 400 MW power in the city which led to widespread power cuts.

Fed up with excuses, many Delhiites questioned why the government could not provide a load shedding schedule so they could be prepared in advance. It can happen anytime from afternoon to night and is very inconvenient for us. Last night, the power went off for two hours and even the power provider helpline was useless. We went to the local BSES office at 1 am and then only supply resumed,’’ said an irate resident of Lajpat Nagar.

Power provider BSES — which services most of Delhi — claimed that it was not possible to have a load shedding schedule because it was not possible to predict when there would be low frequency in the grid and when load would peak. They further set only a set pattern could make a load shedding schedule possible. ‘‘There is no shortage of power in Delhi. We have tied up for more than sufficient power but it is unable to reach us. If there is a power shortage, we will give a load shedding schedule,’’ said a top BSES official.

So it is just all happening in my dream that I am in the dark and I loose all the time the connection to my WLAN because of a non- existing power cut.

AL-QAIDA WARNINGS TO INDIA

Now al-Qaida is openly defending Pakistan with one of the terror outfit's top commanders warning India of more Mumbai-like attacks. In Al-Qaida's Mustafa Abu al-Yazid has warned India in a video. (Times Now)
The al-Qaida threat follows an earlier offer by the Taliban to sink differences over the US-led war on terror and fight "common enemy" India shoulder-to-shoulder with the Pakistan army. The generous offer of assistance came even as Pakistan army is ostensibly engaged in trying to curtail the Taliban's growing influence.
The somewhat bizzare spectacle of jihadi terror organisations rushing to its aid might be slightly embarrassing for Islamabad but only underlines the Taliban-al-Qaida presence in Pakistan, and the impunity with which these groups operate. Pakistan may well have preferred that the al-Qaida did not express its empathy openly, but Al Yazid's statement is clearly meant to be in sync with the popular anti-India mood in the country.
Apart from exposing the interest of al-Qaida in India, seen to be part of the jihadi agenda, Al Yazid's appearance will further discredit Pakistan's ability to fight terror as the terrorist was believed to have been dead. It was Pakistan which had "confirmed" his death by conveying to the US that Al Yazid had been killed in an encounter with its security forces in the Bajaur tribal region last year in August. The nature of the Mumbai attacks had given rise to speculation over the possibility of al-Qaida having had a hand in the mayhem.
"India should know it will have to pay a heavy price if it attacks Pakistan. The mujahideen will sunder your armies into the ground, like they did to the Russians in Afghanistan," Al Yazid, widely accepted as No.3 in the al-Qaida hierarchy after Osama bin Laden and Ayman Al Zawahiri, was quoted as saying in the Arabic video by BBC. He also threatened to target economic centres and humiliate India further by bringing in suicide bombers from all over the world.

In the video, Al Yazid also urges Pakistanis to overthrow the civilian government. Till his `death', Al Yazid was believed to be the commander of al-Qaida in Afghanistan. He last appeared in a video in August last year in which he confirmed the death of another al-Qaida leader. An Egyptian like Al Zawahiri, he spent several years in jail - just like his compatriot - for his alleged involvement in the assassination of Egypt's president in 1981.

AND I AM ONCE AGAIN GETTING VERY SCARED

THE RICHEST & THE POOREST

Despite Indian’s surprising ongoing and very real economic growth and sustainability, there is a serious problem that cannot be overlooked. A SENSEX of 20.000, a growth of the stockholders by a factor of 5 in the last 3 years is hardly in line with the very growing real line of poverty.
Let us look at the latest figures:
Indian rank on the Global Hunger Index 2007 is 94’Th out of 118 countries listed. India is behind China ranking 47’Th and Pakistan ranked 88’Th
40% of the world underweight children live in India
Indian scores last from all countries as far as improvement of poverty is concerned if compared tom 1990.
Governmental figures reveal that 863 Mio people corresponding to 77 % of the population lives on 20 Rps per day that correspond 0.36 euro or 36 eurocent!!!
Millions of Indians go to bed hungry. !

The major reason is the lagging of economical growth in the agricultural sector, where other sectors are booming small farmers or farmers without land are so desperate that the amount of suicides is tremendous.

But also the religious incapability to reduce the amount of kids in the poor families, hardly able to nourish them, is a big part of the problem. I some parts of India the male family members eat first and the woman have to survive with the leftovers, resulting in children of undernourished and anemic mothers with high risk of being born underweighted. More woman die in India during childbirth than anywhere else in the world. Of the calculated value of 526,000 women who died during pregnancy or after childbirth in 2005 globally, Indian contributed with 117,000 followed by Nigeria with 59,000 and Congo with 32,000. The probability that that a girl will die from a complication during her pregnancy and childbirth is 1/70 in India.

Almost one in four woman who gave birth in the last 8 years

received no antenatal care. With Bihar (66 % with no care) has the worst case. Only 4% of the mothers was giving a deworming cure during pregnancy, something which might seems for western not necessary, but seeing the penible hygienic conditions of the water in India, ought to be a must in India.
