DELHI PUBLIC TRANSPORT

It is amazing , now Delhi public transport is questionized ... I thought it is excellent at least if compared to Gurgaon , where there is none beside some lready criminally overfilled autoriksha carrieing up to 16 people on smalles surface.

WELL IT IS AS IT SHOULD BE NO ELECTRICITY, NO WATER, NO WASTE WATER REMOVAL, NO TOILET PAPER< NO TOILETS, NO MONEY, NO TRANSPORT, NO FOOD, but there is always some space for an additional baby.

New Delhi: Think of public transport in Delhi and the images that come to your mind are ‘‘killer’’ Bluelines, overcharging autos, non-existent taxis and a Metro system which covers just a fraction of the city. For a majority of Delhi residents, an efficient, reliable and comfortable public transport system still remains a distant dream.
In the absence of a proper transportation policy, the capital’s vehicular population has crossed the 50 lakh mark and over 1,000 vehicles are being added to Delhi roads daily. Congestion and traffic jams are commonplace and for those in areas where Delhi Metro has not reached, residents are still at the mercy of rickety Bluelines, autos and taxis, all of which seem to be out of government’s control.
Transportation is an issue which concerns every Delhiite, and even as it finds some mention in the election promises of our politicians, no one really has an action plan to sort out the mess. Admitting the poor condition of transport in city, BJP candidate from New Delhi Vijay Goel said: ‘‘Public transport is in a shabby condition as the government has failed to define a policy on how people of the city should commute. Autos overcharge, the Bluelines are still here and even the new low floor DTC buses are uncomfortable and hot. And with Nano coming now, there will absolutely be no space left on the roads.’’
What he will do to improve the situation if he comes to power? ‘‘It’s simple. One needs to take into account population of the city, see how people are commuting and accordingly formulate a policy on transport. One also needs to promote cycling as it is an eco-friendly mode,’’ he said. Even as he drove a Blueline bus to register his protest against the Congress government last year, that doesn’t find a mention in his future plans.
Former Delhi transport minister and Congress candidate from New Delhi Ajay Maken claims transport has been an important point during his interaction with his electorate, especially in areas like GK. ‘‘For the first time, the issue of urban transport has been dealt with in the Master Plan. Also, I was the only one who tried to discipline autos in my tenure as transport minister of Delhi. I got electronic meters fitted and also started a complaint center. The action was so stiff that auto drivers staged demonstrations against me at least half-a-dozen times. For the future, I have proposed multi-model transport systems with seamless integration, BRT on sensibly chosen routes and new modes like monorail and light rail transit with sufficient feeders,’’ Maken said.
Representing one of the most congested parts of the city, BJP candidate from East Delhi, Chetan Chauhan, has also been talking about the growing congestion on Delhi roads.

OPEN LETTER TO MUTALIK LEADER OF SHRI RAM SEN

Dear Mr Mutalik,
We would like to take this opportunity to apologise on behalf of all womankind for having marked our protest against your noble gesture.
We were not aware of the magnanimity of your actions because we were impaired by the beating we got in the pub that day.
Had it not been for your fellow companions who beat some sense into us, we would not have known what Indian culture meant.
It's only the women who missed this thrashing that dared to send those unmentionable pink nothings to you. Violence, as you made clear, is truly an inherent part of our rich culture.
We feel deeply ashamed that these women resorted to such depravities as drinking or even visiting a pub.
Your threat to marry of all couples celebrating Valentine's Day has finally made it obvious to all that marriage is the answer to everything.
We profusely thank you for voicing your protest against these immoral western deviations. But nevertheless we'd like to humbly pose a few questions put forth by our ignorant sisters who still think that women have rights.
Please forgive us for the same.
Here are their questions:

1. Why are you so afraid of Valentines Day?
2. Why are you gifting us saris - the most sensuous form of attire - that shows off more than what a jeans & tees will ever?
3. Would you have preferred if we gifted you bangles instead?
4. How are we defaming ourselves by sending you pink chaddis?
5. Do only women have to follow Indian culture?
6. Why are men allowed to embrace western culture? Shouldn't men wear lungis, kurtas then?
7. Have you received Jihadi training? Is that why you are for the Talibisation of Indian culture?

Thank you and sorry for having taken up the valuable time you could have utilised in perpetrating more violence on uncultured women.

SHRI RAM SENE CRUSADE AGAINST WOMEN'S LIB

Fresh from the Mangalore pub assault, Shri Ram Sene is bracing up for the Valentine's Day.
The Sene plans to protest any Valentine's Day celebration on February 14 in Karnataka and is meeting on Wednesday to fine tune its agenda.
Sri Ram Sene chief Pramod Muthalik, who is now out on conditional bail in the Mangalore Pub attack case, has made it clear that his outfit will disrupt Valentine's Day celebration as it is against Indian culture.
"We are going to protest it. We will send memorandums to Home Minister and Chief Minister (of Karnataka) and we will also alert the police officials for all the hotels and colleges where the day will be celebrated with pomp and show," said Muthalik.
Muthalik claimed that celebrating Valentine's Day is an international conspiracy and blamed Christians for the celebrations.
"Valentine's day, Friendship Day... all these are international conspiracies against our culture. They are exploiting the girls by calling it as lover's day. Love cannot be for a single day. This is a conspiracy by the Christians," Muthalik said.
The warning has been extended to educational institutions, restaurants and shops selling gifts and greetings.
Meanwhile, Union Minister for Women and Child Developement Renuka Chowdhary urges Karnataka Government to take strict actions against Pramod Muthalik and Sri Ram Sena. Speaking about Muthalik, she said “He is not married so he doesn’t know how to respect gender.”
“Ram Sena is an anti-social organisation & in fact does not have an identity or legitimacy. Karnataka government should take cognizance of the incident & provide protection to women,” she added.

The question is why are they out of prison again after molesting girls just sitting in a pub.If conditional bail just mean that they should continue than the goal seems to be reached

The public transport mainly consist out of small Piaggio touktouks suitable for max 4persons regular used for up to 16 persons. It is a shame also women have to use this public transport pressed close to man, close as they would be in there own sleeping room to the husband. I don't understand why people don't revolt it is so humilating. Gurgaon might be one of the most wealthy cities in India, why is there no decent public transport. Why are there no autorikhsas as in each other city.
