ENERGY SUPPLY - QUO VADIS
THE POWER CUTS IN DELHI (after all the capital) DO NOT STOP. TODAY IN GURGAON AT LEAST 10 POWER- CUTS. I don't mind too much, in the company and in the condominium where I live most of the time there are genset (= Diesel engines for power generation) . For most Indians in the area it means that they have to run on inveters (battery operated power supplies , able to convert the DC from the battery to AC, for most of the utilities available in household espessially the air- conditioning , without this live is nearly insupportable in Delhi and enviroment.
This means that a lot of private money get wasted , just because the governemental controlled power suppliers are not able to provide enough energy for the growing economical demands and the not unexpected growing population (not the slightest approach to reduce birth growth , beside a free vacation for the couples, being without kids after 3 years of marriage)
With the private money spent on big power generator sets for the bigger appartment blocks and all the inverters in private property, India would for sure have been able to take care of enough power generation plans to fullfill all the needs. But why spent money to the state if this dissapear in some leaks as the water does to over 50 % in some areas in the water supply.
It is amazing for me to see how Indian power suppliers follow the behaviour of their Western conterparts, obviously they don't see their special position. Now there is a big publicity campain of the wind power generators as eg VESTA to convince politicians to go for wind power gerator plants. But in the European power supply grid , the wind power generators are the first to be switched of at excessive energy (mostly the case) because they produce electricity at the highest cost (mainly invest cost and short live)

INDIAN IS FIGHTING THE SUN, IN A HOPELESS ATTEMPT BY USING SMALL AIR-CONDITIONING UNITS TO LOWER THE EFFECTS OF AN EXCESS OF ENERGY IN THEIR AMBIENT ENVIROMENT
THERE IS NOT A LACK OF ENERGY IN INDIA , THERE IS TOO MUCH AND THEREFORE WITH ALL MEANS WESTERN USE TO BALANCE THEIR LACK OF ENERGY INDIA TRIES TO DESTROY ITS EXCESS OF ENERGY.
THE STRONGEST POINT OF INDIAN'S ENERGY IS THE SUN, WHY NOT USE THE SUN INSTEAD OF FIGHTING AGAINST IT .
For me the best example is the recent house building politics of The Netherlands, having learned after year of fights against the sea, now the houses are build floating on the sea. (of coarse by an intelligent dikes and sluice system to prevent the houses for waves and abprubt rises)
Instead of just aping the energy policy of the WEST why not lets have Indian energy politics which should of course also include nuclear power plants. But why nut just start using the excess of energy by:
Develop sun collectors able to transfer the solar energy into cooling capacity by using heat exchanger or stirling pumps (both using a no other energy as coming directly from the sun.
Force new builders to install the low cost sun collectors as are already available on the market on each house (in some areas of China, not blessed by excessive energy as India you will see on top of each house)
Build-up solar energy power plants as is done in Germany and Spain , haveing only 50% of the solar impact over the year as compared to India.
