DAILY ENCOUNTERS X- THE HOOPOE

Being in Europe more and more rare in India the HOOPOE can be seen from time to time. But today, perhaps to say goodbye one Upapa Epops was visiting me in the garden. Today I will move to an other part of Gurgaon and live on the 14th floor , that promises to give some wide perspective view pictures.

DAILY ENCOUNTERS IX

These ladies are not islamic extremist, there plan is not to rob a bank, they just want to protect themselves against the extreme pollution. I assume they will know that the scarfs will not protect them against the unimaginable high concentrations of Carbon Monoxid (CO), Hydrocarbons (THC)and Nitrogen Oxides (NOx)in the centre city roads , but they will have some protection against particulates. For me it is nearly schizophrenic to observe that in the European emission regulations we soon will have particulate counters (not opacity or so) real counters to measure the amount, not the mass of nano particulates from the size of a cluster of C-atoms to the size of a small bacterium (2.5 micrometer)and there will be limits for that for the homolgation test. And here the mass of emission maybe 1000 times higher and nobody protest.

THE HOOPOE II

Finally I was able to upload the video to Google video and download it in the post

DAILY ENCOUNTERS VIII

The public transport mainly consist out of small Piaggio touktouks suitable for max 4persons regular used for up to 16 persons. It is a shame also women have to use this public transport pressed close to man, close as they would be in there own sleeping room to the husband. I don't understand why people don't revolt it is so humilating. Gurgaon might be one of the most wealthy cities in India, why is there no decent public transport. Why are there no autorikhsas as in each other city.

On the trailer of a tractor packed together as cattle the building workers are transported to the building site. Stting on the wheel covers of a tractor may be a big fun , but if the tractor is driving 30 km per hour in the city trafick it is more thasn dangereous

Cement road construction by hand. In this procedure only a beton mixer is used. The macadam is produced by breaking big stones into small pieces, later than covered with cement. The flatting is done by hand, the result is a road not suitable fo cars driving over 100 km/h. A contribution to lower the severness of the accidents.

DAILY ENCOUNTERS IV

The swines are half- wild and you can approach them quite close. In the background are the tents of building workers, who have the opportunity to make camping all year.In the samll river in the back the sewage of the big companies and hotels is illegaly dumped during the late evening or night because the city "forgot" to install sewage channels along the road.
